Point Pediatrics will be offering a Credit Card On File (CCOF) program as outlined in our Financial Policy. We are excited to implement this innovative program as a way to help you manage your health care dollars. With the CCOF program, we securely save your credit card and work with your health plan to determine your payment amount after each visit. You will receive an email notification 7 days before your card is charged letting you know the amount. We process the payment for you automatically and email you the receipt. This will eliminate the hassle of writing a paper check and mailing in a payment. We do all the work for you!

Why the change?

This program was detailed in the Financial Policy form signed at your first visit. It was always our intention to implement this program to streamline the payment process for you. The American Academy of Pediatrics feels that this is an effective way to collect patient balances and decreases the burden on both parents and office staff. We feel this change is crucial to ensuring that our practice can serve our patients and families for the foreseeable future.

I’m nervous about leaving my credit card.

We do not store your sensitive credit card information in our office. It is encrypted and kept securely offsite by a system that meets the industry standard set forth from the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and is certified to the highest level attainable. We do not have access to the credit card once it is entered into our system. For that reason, we will ask for your credit card at every office visit.

What if I need to dispute my bill?

We will always work with you to understand if there has been a mistake. We only charge the amount that your insurance company has instructed us to collect. We will send this information via email to you 7 days prior to processing the payment. During this time, you may contact the office with any questions or concerns regarding the bill. If you are unable to pay the full amount of the bill, we are happy to set up a payment plan.
